Steve Young was born in Greenwich, Connecticut. He was a star athlete in football, baseball and basketball. When Joe was traded to the Kansas City Chiefs years later, it was Steves turn to shine. The fans of San Francisco were not happy with Steves performance. The 1995 season was to be a turning point in Steves career. He was leading the league in passing and the 49ers were on their focal point to a Super cast.
Steve led the 49ers to a Super Bowl victory and quieted his critics. Steve young threw for over 300 yards and ran for 49 and 6 touchdowns in the victory over the chargers in tops(predicate) bowl XXIX. He was the first player to ever lead in both rushing and passing in a super bowl.
