Genesis chapter 17 was a bit point in the Abrahams story. God confirmed his plight with Abraham, thirteen years after Ismael birth. He began his plan by revealing himself saying, I am the almighty God; whirl before me belieffully and be blameless in strawman of me. In Genesis 12: 1 3, Abraham was told to leave his family, his country and to go to the place where God would show him and made of him nations. In chapter 15, Abraham has had an advance vision and was told, do not be afraid. Again in chapter 17, God told Abraham to walk before him faithfully since he would concord his covenant with him. God promised that Abraham will be the father of enormous nations and an everlasting covenant will establish with his descendant and Kings will come from him.
For this very reason the Lord changed Abrams frame to Abraham which means father of many.
The Mission was also considered outside Abrahams offspring to include all human beings. Gods plan was not only to separate Abram from his family and blesses him lonely; however he emergencys Abraham to be a cosmeawide blessing through his descendants and his faith. The purpose Gods mission, therefore, was to start a plan by which to share his blessing with whole the world as an alternative of dealing every single nation individually.
