Chapter 24
It has been a year since Jonas left his connection with Gabriel in anticipate of elsewhere. Jonas reached this place of elsewhere only one week after leaving his community. Luckily, nothing had happened to Gabriel. But Jonas wasnt as fortunate. His entire right arm had gotten frostbite, and he needed it to be amputated. Fortunately, with the technology this metropolis of elsewhere had, this was possible. They were even able to fuddle a abject mechanical hand that responded to Jonas nerve signals, which was exactly like a normal arm.
Upon arriving, Jonas was immediately helped to a hospital by a friendly citizen, who would become Jonas and Gabriels parent. His name was Carl. He was just hotheaded along to work when he saw the two. Upon noticing their condition, he instinctively drove them to the nearest hospital, where they got a lot of medical attention. This was the offset printing time that a person from a perfect community has reached this city. But these doctors knew how to handle the situation. They amputated Jonas arm and made a mechanical arm for him that day. And that was also the day Jonas and Gabriel were adopted by Carl.

Jonas, inflame up Jonas! Time for school! Carl said. For it was a routine for him now. each day he would throw to wake up Jonas and make sure he wasnt late.

No, school starts in ten minutes. You have to wake up now in order to make it on time! Carl replied.
Ok... Jonas said groggily.
Your eat money is on the table, get ready,
Very well written, engagning, unique, and quite twisted;) The end took me by complete surprise!
Im curious to turn in what your teacher thought of this.....
I agree with serpentina. This is twisted, although quite well written. The conclusion was a surprise.
You write well, and the story is creative. However, I thought both(prenominal) Jonas and Gabriel died at the end (this may not be mentioned in the book, but I think it is what the reader is supposed to conclude) of The Giver.
Commenting on the plotline, I think that the citizens in utopia are too use to living a perfect and controlled life, and would not cope with the memories or turning into New York City. The teleporter is not real likely either.
This is a really interesting ending for the giver. Although, I think there ould have been some more emotion.
As for relevance to the book, the ending is very ambiguous, and open ended. Lois Lowry wanted the readers ot have a choice of how they see the book
